Ohhhh .....I just posted and then read your post, you said you don't know to much about this aircraft. Its actually a Sud Aviation T-28 Fennec, was a french improvement of the North American T-28 Trojan. He served with the Armee de L'air ( french Air Force) in Argelia as a COIN aircraft, can be armed with four 250 lbs bombs, or two pods containing each two .50 machine guns and ammunitions, or two rocket launchers, or any possible combination of those. After Argelia, the Argentinean Navy bought 20+ ( not sure about the number), served in the Aviacion Naval Argentina for almost 20 years, then transfered to the Aviacion Naval Uruguaya ( Uruguayan Naval Aviation), this arcraft is the ARMADA 401 ( NAVY 401) , the owner restored this airplane keeping on him the uruguayan uniform.Indeed a beautiful picture, with due respect if you have morepictures of this , please let me know

Interesting, thanks Ted. I'm unsure about the history of this one, currently at YYJ in Victoria, BC, but it does have the Uruguayan flag on the tail.

Besides its use as a trainer, the T-28 was successfully employed as a Counter-insurgency (COIN) aircraft, primarily during the Vietnam War. - Ted
